Following informal local consultation with the Littlehampton Harbour Board Stakeholder Group and the Littlehampton Personal Watercraft User Group, the Littlehampton Harbour Board has published a revised set of General Directions.  The key aims are:

to update and improve the existing Directions;

to better manage PWCs (jetskis) in the harbour and up-river;

to make the bathing beaches at the entrance to the harbour safer;

to ensure that all vessels carry a means of communication;

and to ensure that vessels operating commercially meet national coding requirements.

The Designated Consultees for these Directions will be the RYA, UK Chamber of Shipping and the Littlehampton PWC User Group.

Individuals who wish to make comments may do so via a Designated Consultee (if affiliated) or as a non-designated individual in the next six weeks by writing to the Clerk to the Board (clerk@littlehampton.org.uk).  Any comments should be received before Tuesday 2nd April 19.
